At Kempsey Primary School we believe Religious Education is integral in our children’s understanding of the world around them and the people with whom they share it. It underpins our work with ‘values’, whether those be British or otherwise and we believe greater understanding of spirituality and faith breeds understanding and therefore tolerance.
We endeavour to provide learning opportunities which foster discussion/ debate within an open-minded, listening environment.
At Kempsey we follow the Agreed Worcestershire Syllabus for RE. A link to this can be found below, along with a brief overview of how we organise the curriculum. When planning for RE, the staff refer back to the agreed syllabus for greater detail and ideas for sequencing and deepening learning opportunities.
